During a meeting between Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Vietnamese Defence Minister General Phan Van Gang in New Delhi, it was announced that India will be gifting the indigenous missile corvette INS Kirpan to Vietnam. The two countries will also work together in areas of defense industry cooperation, maritime security, and multinational cooperation.

About the Meeting between the Defence Ministers

The visiting dignitary arrived in India on June 18 for a two-day visit. Vietnam plays an important role in India’s Act East Policy and the Indo-Pacific region.
