The Uttar Pradesh government plans to build a theme park called ‘Ramaland’ in Ayodhya, modeled on Disneyland, to tell the story of Lord Ram and promote tourism in the area.
The park will be designed to offer both entertainment and education, making it attractive to both children and adults. The aim is to showcase the legendary stories of Ramayana and make Ayodhya a global tourism destination.

• The Uttar Pradesh government is planning to develop a theme park called ‘Ramaland’ modeled on Disneyland to narrate the story of Lord Ram in order to position Ayodhya as a global tourism hotspot.
• The theme park is part of the ‘Ayodhya Vision 2047’ theme, estimated to value Rs 30,000 crore to the exchequer.
• The government plans to invest funds in about 260 initiatives pertaining to tourism, aviation, infrastructure, housing, medical, energy, culture, urban development, transport, etc.

• The Lord Ram temple construction is nearing completion, and the government is expediting the ongoing and proposed projects in Ayodhya, including the proposed Ayodhya international airport, which is expected to catalyze the transformation of the spiritual city into a major tourism hub in India.
• Ayodhya’s Deepotsav festival has been celebrated with grandeur and opulence in recent times and has entered the Guinness Book of World Records for lighting the largest number of earthen lamps (diyas) in successive Diwali celebrations.
