PM Modi Unveils “Urea Gold” in Rajasthan to Boost Soil Quality and Aid Farmers

Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Sikar, Rajasthan, and introduced “Urea Gold,” a new type of urea coated with sulphur. This innovative fertilizer aims to benefit farmers across India by enhancing soil quality, reducing farming expenses, and providing a more efficient alternative to traditional urea.

Urea Gold is designed to address sulphur deficiencies in the soil, promising improved nitrogen use efficiency and enhanced crop quality. Compared to neem-coated urea, it proves to be more economical and effective.

Farmers stand to gain several advantages from Urea Gold, including combating soil deficiencies, cost-effectiveness, better nitrogen use in plants, reduced fertilizer consumption, and improved crop quality leading to increased income.

Urea Gold’s unique features, such as gradual nitrogen release and prolonged effectiveness due to humic acid inclusion, set it apart from other fertilizers. Reports suggest that 15kg of Urea Gold provides similar benefits to 20kg of conventional urea, showcasing its superior efficiency.

In addition to Urea Gold, PM Modi unveiled various pro-farmer initiatives in Rajasthan, including the PM-KISAN Scheme’s 14th installment, onboarding 1,500 Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) onto the ONDC platform, and dedicating 1.25 lakh PM Kisan Samriddhi Kendras (PMKSKs). These initiatives aim to provide direct financial support, streamline information dissemination, and offer comprehensive solutions for farmers.

PM Modi’s visit to Rajasthan highlights the government’s commitment to farmers’ welfare and sustainable agriculture, with Urea Gold playing a pivotal role in improving soil quality and reducing farming expenses for a more prosperous agricultural sector. Read the complete article here
