Today, Shri Sanjay Chander, Director General of the Railway Protection Force, unveiled the newly constructed National Martyr’s Memorial and National Museum for Railway Security at Jagjivan RPF Academy in Lucknow. This memorial and museum serve as a tribute to the brave railway personnel who sacrificed their lives while ensuring the safety and security of the railways.

The newly unveiled National Martyr’s Memorial at Jagjivan RPF Academy in Lucknow covers an area of 4800 square meters and pays tribute to 1014 martyred RPF personnel from 1957 till date.
- It stands as a solemn reminder of their sacrifice in safeguarding the railways.
- In addition to the memorial, visitors can explore the National Museum for Railway Security, which offers a comprehensive insight into the history, achievements, duties, and responsibilities of the Railway Protection Force.
- Spanning 9000 sq. ft, the museum features 37 thematic display panels, 11 display cabinets, 87 artifacts, 500 pages from the National Archives of India, 36 historical weapons, 150 railway security-related items, and 15 mannequins portraying various ranks of the Railway Protection Force.
- The museum’s motto, “Gyanvardhanayachsanrakshanaya ((ज्ञानवर्धनायचसंरक्षणाय)),” reflects the RPF’s commitment to promoting knowledge and preserving heritage. It serves as an educational and inspirational hub for RPF personnel and visitors alike.
- During the unveiling ceremony, the War Trophy T-55 tank received from the Central Armoured Fighting Vehicle Depot in Pune was also installed on the academy campus.
- Additionally, the newly constructed Badminton and Lawn Tennis Court and the Special Band of RPF were introduced by the Director General of, the Railway Protection Force. These additions aim to enhance the facilities and capabilities of the academy for the betterment of its personnel.
