Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs to Host National Workshop on NeVA

The Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs is hosting a two-day National Workshop on the National e-Vidhan Application (NeVA) on May 24th and 25th, 2023, in New Delhi. The workshop aims to encourage State/UT Legislatures to adopt the NeVA platform, which promotes transparency, accountability, and responsiveness in legislative proceedings through technology. NeVA is part of the Digital India Programme and seeks to transform State Legislatures into paperless ‘Digital Houses.’

Currently, 21 State legislatures have signed agreements for NeVA implementation, with nine already operating fully on the platform. The workshop will feature distinguished guests, including Shri Piyush Goyal and Shri Pralhad Joshi. Stakeholders, such as State Assembly Secretaries and representatives from the National Informatics Centre, will attend the workshop’s six sessions, covering various aspects of NeVA implementation. The event will conclude with a Valedictory Session chaired by Sh. Arjun Ram Meghwal focuses on advancing transparent and technologically advanced legislative practices. Historic Sceptre ‘Sengol’ Finds Home in New Parliament Building
