Shri Rajesh Bhushan, Union Health Secretary, recently introduced SAKSHAM (Stimulating Advanced Knowledge for Sustainable Health Management), a Learning Management Information System (LMIS) designed by New Delhi’s National Institute of Health & Family Welfare (NIHFW). The digital learning platform is dedicated to offering online training and medical education to health workers throughout the country, from primary health care centres in rural areas to tertiary care and corporate hospitals in major cities.
Unified Platform for Inclusive Capacity Building
SAKSHAM aims to provide a unified platform for inclusive capacity building of health professionals. The platform is currently hosting more than 200 public health and 100 clinical courses through online mode. Health professionals can register themselves for these courses on the portal and receive certification after undergoing requisite training and qualifying the required assessment criteria.
Accessible Training for Health Professionals
SAKSHAM’s debut will ensure that health workers in even the most remote places have access to training and education. This digital learning platform will help health professionals improve their skills and expertise while also keeping them up to date on the newest advances in their industry.
