Challenges and Employment Opportunities:
A significant number of soldiers retire from active duty at relatively young ages, often seeking post-retirement employment opportunities. The government recognizes the importance of assisting these individuals in finding suitable employment or self-employment ventures. Although the government reserves a percentage of public sector jobs for ex-servicemen, these vacancies often go unfilled. Additionally, the re-employment rate of veterans in defense Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) remains low.
