History of World Brain Day:
World Brain Day finds its roots in the establishment of the World Federation of Neurology (WFN) on July 22, 1957. The idea of observing this date as “World Brain Day” was proposed by the Public Awareness and Advocacy Committee during the World Congress of Neurology (WCN) Council of Delegates meeting in September 2013. The proposal received a warm response, leading to its approval by the Board of Trustees in February 2014. Since then, it has become an annual event celebrated on the same date each year.
