Cardless Cash Withdrawal Facility
Bank of Baroda, a leading public sector lender, has introduced the Interoperable Cardless Cash Withdrawal (ICCW) facility for its customers. This innovative service allows customers to withdraw cash from ATMs using the United Payment Interface (UPI). With this offering, Bank of Baroda becomes the first public sector bank to provide such a service, providing customers with a simple, convenient, and secure way to access cash.
- UPI-Based Cash Withdrawal:
Bank of Baroda customers can now choose the option ‘UPI Cash Withdrawal’ on the ATM screen and enter the desired withdrawal amount. Subsequently, a QR code will appear on the screen.
- UPI App Authorization:
To complete the transaction, customers need to use a UPI-enabled app that supports ICCW. They can scan the QR code displayed on the ATM screen using their UPI app and authorize the transaction by entering their UPI PIN on their mobile device.
- No Need for Debit Card:
Bank of Baroda emphasizes that customers can withdraw cash from their account at a Bank of Baroda ATM without using their physical debit card. This feature extends to customers of other participating issuer banks that use BHIM UPI, bob World UPI, or any other UPI application enabled for ICCW.
- Account Selection Option:
In situations where a single UPI ID is linked to multiple bank accounts, the ICCW functionality allows customers to choose the specific account from which they wish to debit the cash.
